As of June 2025, the methodology used to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) in the UK has undergone a significant update with the rollout of RdSAP10. This change, introduced by the government, aims to provide more accurate, data-driven assessments of residential energy performance — ultimately helping property owners make more informed decisions.
At the heart of RdSAP10 are more detailed data requirements, including updated standards for insulation, ventilation, heating systems, glazing, and renewable technologies. These enhancements bring EPCs closer in line with modern building expectations and climate targets, but they also require longer survey times and more comprehensive data collection by assessors.
As a result of these changes, we are making a modest adjustment to our EPC pricing structure. This is to ensure that we can continue to deliver assessments that meet the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and professionalism — while accounting for the increased time and expertise required under RdSAP10.
We remain committed to providing excellent value for money and maintaining our reputation for reliability across Merseyside, Halton, Cheshire, and North Wales.
What This Means for YouIf you're a homeowner, landlord, or agent requiring a new EPC — particularly in light of upcoming regulation changes — now is a good time to act. Getting an updated certificate under RdSAP10 means you're ahead of the curve and receiving a rating based on the most current guidance.
